School Sucks

So lets see. As my first week of my first semester winds down at my new college YSU I figured I would post a blog letting you all know how much school really sucks. This includes Middle school, High school and College. So basically if you're past learning long division then this includes you too. Well I finally moved in on the 11th. I was supposed to move in on the 10th but unfortunately I couldn't register for classes thanks to my jackass of an advisor who decided to take a fucking day off on Friday and cancel my appointment. And I couldn't move into the dorms unless I had at least 12 hours a week of classes. So I finally made it up here to register on Monday morning.

So when I finally did get a chance to register of course because classes had already began most of the classes were filled. Not to mention I didn't take my English or Math placement tests. This means I had to deal with the classes that were still open. What did I get? Sociology, Physical Geography, World History and Healthy Lifestyles. Now World History and Sociology I can deal with since I enjoy both. Healthy Lifestyles is to help me achieve my New Years Resolution but Physical Geography? I don't wanna do that shit! And of course thats the only class I need a book in. This means I have to drop $90 on two different books for one class. How dumb is that?

So I moved into my dorm and met my room mate who happens to me a sophmore. So far its been cool. We don't talk much but there's no bad blood between us or anything. I have a gut feeling that we will butt heads later on this semester though. The room isn't really big and I'm on the top bunk but its cool. So my dorm situation isn't bad except for the fact I have to share a floor bathroom with the rest of the girls on the floor. About 30 to 40 girls.

On Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays I have Healthy Lifestyles at 8am and Sociology right after at 9am. Healthy Lifestyles seems confusing as hell. Expect many tweets about frustration with that class. My Sociology class isn't bad. Not to mention its auditorium style and packed so I can pretty much ditch that class without anyone noticing. *wink*

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have World History at 9:30am and Physical Geography at 2pm. While World History doesn't bother me because I enjoy it... Physical Geo and I have many disagreements. Not only do I not like the class, but its at 2pm which messes up my plan of all morning classes. Did I mention that the teacher is also annoying? She stutters so much and I have a short attention span so my mind constantly wonders. I could drop the class but that would involve starting all over again next week with a new class. Too much hassel.

I live in the dorm hall right near the food court but here's the catch. The officialfood court closes at 2pm. What food court at college do you know that closes at fucking 2 in the afternoon!? WTF? We also have an Arby's here thats open most of the day as well as a bagel stop here and a candy stop there. We have a resturant style deal to but the food sucks. So what does that leave me with? Ramen Noodles, Chef Boyardee and applesauce etc. that I keep in my room.

Its only been 4 days. Can I last a whole semester here?? School sucks!!

Special...

So lately I haven't been feeling too well. I'm not sure why this is or when exactly I began feeling this way but it seems all to familiar...and that's what scares me. The last time I felt this way a few years ago and a few months after my grandmother's passing. unfortunately it started much like this and grew into something much more that I lost control over. I fell into I guess what you would call a depression. Its true what they say, you have to hit the very bottom before you can start climbing back up. The only good thing about it I suppose is it made me try and live my life more and made me love Janet Jackson all-the-more for the way her music helped me through it.

Its not unusual for everyone to have a down-and-out day every once in a while. We all have them when we don't want to be bothered and just lay around doing nothing. But there's a point where after so long you get bored of doing anything and fall back into your regular routine. It's when you start becoming okay with it is when the trouble arises. Its when you're doing nothing is when you have time to think, and thinking is always dangerous when you have skeletons in your closet that you have been ducking and dodging for most of you life. They finally come tumbling out on top of you and pin you to the ground. You get stuck and the only way out is to actually pick them up off you and look them face to face. That's the scary part.

When my grandmother passed and I experienced my first taste of heart-break my skeletons came jumping, leaping and doing cartwheels out of my closet. While I did deal with some, there were also some that I managed to avoid and push back inside. I think now they're forcing they're way out now. I'm to the point where I can feel the door being pushed against and watching the hinges come off. All the skeletons from all those childhood years up until now that I've constantly pushed behind me, hid in a closet or dodged is catching up and I'm running out of breath. I know it won't be long before I pass out and they all dogpile ontop of me. Hopefully I'll be able to find my way out. ♥ ♥
